Updated over 4 years ago,
Is my Land serviced by a Well and Septic System?
Hello,
This is my first post on BiggerPockets. I do apologize in advance if my question lacks the standards in how it is framed. Please give me that feedback which I will incorporate in future posts.
Here is my question: I have bought 3 acres of land in Monument, CO about 3 years ago. I wish to start constructing a house on it sometime next summer, and have been doing extensive research on the procedures and requirements to construct a house to prepare. This will be my first construction. My question is regarding the Well and Septic Tank system. I have reviewed my documents, and found this line : "Property is serviced by a well and septic system. It has not been set up yet". I am confused, and would like clarification. Does this mean that I must install a new Well and Septic System on the land, or does it mean that there is something already on the land, and all I need is to connect? I ask this for cost estimations for the final project. Could folks please clarify and help me understand which may be the more expensive scenario?
Background on the land: The land is in converted agricultural to residential area many years ago. It is now a neighborhood with a few houses around it. Most have been built in the last 5 years or so. For those of you familiar with the area, the property of located off the intersection of C0-105 and CO-83.
I would appreciate any clarification any folks can provide. Please let me know of any additional information I can provide.
Thanks.
