How to learn on BP? New to the forums

Hey everyone,

I'm from Fort Lauderdale, FL and am currently a law school student in Miami. I have always had an interest in real estate investment and luckily just recently discovered the BP community. 

My question is.. what is the best way to learn on the forums? I'm interested in multi-families and want to gain as much knowledge as I can over the next three years so I feel prepared and can begin my investments as soon as I graduate. I have a 90% scholarship and have minimal expenses so I don't anticipate any debt from school that I'll need to worry about paying off.

Should I just be browsing random forums and listening to the podcasts?

Zach, welcome to BP. Listening to the podcasts is a good idea. Maybe read the descriptions first, focusing on ones that mention multifamily properties. You might also consider setting up some keyword alerts, both for general terms like "multifamily" and for the areas you think you'll invest. Another idea would be to use the search tool and read forums on multifamily. Some will be old, but may still have relevant info, or you could sort by recency to jump in on active conversations. You can save discussions to follow. Finally, as you learn and start to formulate questions, you could create your own posts to make the process more interactive.
