Looking to learn in Las Vegas

Time for my first BP post.

After living in NYC my whole life my family and I are planning on moving to the Las Vegas area within the next year.  I am doing all I can to learn as much as possible (reading books and other educational materials, listening to podcasts, watching videos) while working towards the move and saving all we can.

My feelings are the best way to learn is by doing so I'm hoping but I'm also not too proud to gladly listen to any advice anyone has.

Thank you to everyone for their time in reading this.  Also, thank you to Bigger Pockets for the education and inspiration I've gained to this point.  There's a lot more to learn and do but excited to do this and know I will put everything I have into making this work.
