Hello everyone!  My name is Tanner Ray, and I'm somewhat new to the world of real estate investment.  I am currently a law student at Regent University and have one rental property under my belt thus far.  I have been familiar with Bigger Pockets for a while now but have never taken the leap to get involved -- until now!  I am drawn to buy/hold rental properties and would like to get into apartments someday.

Because I do not have much of a background in real estate, I am hungry for anything that I can learn related to my business.  If anyone has any suggestions for how I can efficiently gain more experience and education in this market, please let me know!   Book, mentor, or practice suggestions are welcome.

I have recently had the idea of working with a local developer in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia to better understand how single family homes are built from the ground up.  If anyone knows any developers or even contractors in the area that wouldn't mind having someone tag along and work with them for a bit, let me know!

I look forward to meeting many of you over the years to come!
