Newbie - Currently in Portland, OR. Moving to Dallas, TX

Hello!

My name is Joseph McGrath and I am new to real estate investment and the BiggerPockets community. I currently live in Portland, OR but will be moving to Dallas TX in August thanks to my Fiancé’s promotion at work.

Although I consider my self a complete newbie I have in the past purchased a duplex with a business partner in Utah as a short sale. I did all the rehab and my partner put up his money for the down payment. After meeting my Fiancé I moved to Portland OR to be with her and my partner bought me out on the property.

Now I am looking to start fresh in Dallas, TX! My goal is to find, purchase and flip single family homes in Dallas, TX. My fiancé and I do well for ourselves and want to continue to grow our wealth through real estate. Two deals would be a big achievement in my first year of real estate investment so I would this is my real goal.

I have so much to learn and a lot planning and research ahead of me. I’m excited to meet everyone in the community as well.

Joe
