New investor hoping to meet and network!

Hi everyone, my wife and I are new to the wonderful world of real estate investing. This is one of my first post on BP. Just wanted to introduce ourselves on this forum. I am a physician in Los Angeles CA. We are hoping to provide additional income security for our lifestyle, our children, and for retirement. My wife and I are looking to invest in our first rental property by the end of 2020. We hope that once we gain the education and experience with our first property, we will be able to obtain several more units in the coming years.

Having studied medicine my entire life, this new direction is both exciting and challenging. We have been busy educating ourselves in all things real estate these past couple months from podcasts, books, webinars. Many of these educational sources were obtained from this forum and website.

We look forward to networking with you all and learning from so many experienced and seasoned investors! We know to be truly successful you need to surround yourself with successful people.

Hi @Michael Lao! Welcome to this very exciting space. I have had the privilege of transacting on 20 off market deals last year. Los Angeles is a very challenging market, there are so many different cities that are all unique in their own way.
