Hello Bigger Pockets Peeps,
I am Emily Dixon from Sunny Southern California mostly but also spend time in Missouri whenever I can. Was there 9 months out of last year.
I am the Vice President of a small investment development company. We don't have any real clients. Just a bunch of my bosses wealthy foreign family members and friends, and they keep us very very (did i say very) busy. We do a little bit of our own investing with his money, but mostly set up lots of projects for people far away who want to invest but do not want to put the work in. From Income Properties turnkey all the way down to empty lots new construction. I am hooked on your site here. It is very cool to see sharing of information and experiences. I am having fun transitioning from Construction Company Controller in high volume new residential construction (did that 14 years until 2011), to restaurant owner (2011) (Loved serving people but hated working saturday night) to now basically a researcher/developer & project manager- having fun doing everything from designing small efficient houses to build, rehabbing existing small homes and adding master suites to them, and also in my free time trying to flip the occasional business. (yes i prefer business flipping to house flipping lol) I am useful if anyone has accounting questions or needs help with cost control issues. I like helping people. I am also an amateur stand up comedian so if you see me post something off the wall it is most likely my lame attempt at making you laugh. I hope to be of encouragement here.
