New and hungry Washington state

Hello everyone,

I would like to introduce myself! I am a 26 year old husband and father who is hungry for real estate. I see real estate as the best avenue for investing for myself and young family. My mother tried (a few times) to purchase and rent properties when I was young(er) and failed. I saw the possibilities and pit falls and has always been tugging at my heart to do. I have been sitting on the side lines watching and waiting, saying to myself tomorrow, next month, year. NO MORE. I want to jump in and have the opportunity to spend more time with my family and be able to support them in a better way.

I currently work for a beer distributor in the Portland OR area, and on the opposite schedule as my wife and son. We live in a small town outside Vancouver, WA. which is just across the river from Portland.

I don’t want to start out to large and get overwhelmed, so my current market is the Vancouver, WA area. Clark County where I am located has been hit fairly hard by foreclosures and I feel that this will give me a viable market to wholesale and start working towards my ultimate goal of multifamily properties to rent.

I’m looking to network with area and out of area members to build a contact list of other investors. Is there a way to find members local to me?

Have a great day!
Aaron
