New Member in Orlando, FL with LLC Questions

Hello,

My name is Juliet and this is my first time on the discussion board. I have a property I am renting and I have been advised by my accountant to place this property in an LLC. I have a mortgage on this property. Does anyone have an idea of how much it should cost to create the LLC? I have been referred to a few lawyers but I think they tend to overprice their work. Thanks for any help.

Welcome to BP Nation Juliet. Make sure you work with someone that has your best interests in mind and does not have self interests (getting fees for setting up entities when they are not needed).
This of course is not to say you dont need one but to be careful.

Your personal assets and equity exposure in the current investment are things to first consider when making an entity decision. Insurance is another layer that should be utilized.
