ADVICE WANTED - New Investor

I am a recent college grad and my goal is to begin investing in rental properties to achieve financial freedom. I have small pockets for now and was wondering if I should read The Book on Rental Property Investing or Investing in Real Estate With No (or low) Money Down first. I will be moving to Chicago next month and would also appreciate any advice available from seasoned investors here!
