Mobile home Investing Newbie
Hi. I'm not new to the Bigger Pockets Community, but this is my first time Posting. Are there any ppl actively investing in mobile and manufactured homes in the Illinois area that can offer advise to a new MHI? I'm not new to investing my husband and I have successfully bought, rehabbed, and sold 2 SFH's already but we've taken a break and are ready to dive back in and want to try mobile homes with a goal of earning enough cashflow to quit our jobs and invest full-time. I have tried to read all the previous posts and taken notes, but any help or direction that's IL-specific is truly appreciated. Thank you

@Chanel Moulton Great to hear about your interest in mobile homes! I've been investing in mobile homes for over a decade. I too came from single-family homes. Regarding networking and finding investors in your area that specialize in mobile homes, it's best to check out your local real estate investment club. Find out who the key players are who buy mobile homes.
Also, you can try talking to park managers and/or owners as well as mobile home dealerships in the area. Many of them already work with investors. They may be able to point you in the right direction. In the past, I've found them to be great sources of information and they may send some referrals your way if you can build up relationships with them.
Another thing you can do is drive neighborhoods in your area where you want to buy mobile homes to see if there are any for sale and/or for rent signs including any mobile homes that are being fixed up by contractors. These are all signs of possible investors who own them.
Hope that helps!
