Investing in Houston or in Texas
Hi BP,
My husband and I am are both engineers by day but are looking to build wealth through RE investing. We are currently on an overseas assignment so I am focusing on learning about investing and researching cities to begin investing in when I return to the States. We will likely be returning to Houston after this assignment so I have started my focus there. I actually grew up in Houston so I am familiar with the areas but would like to get a better understanding of what areas people are renting (in the city or the suburbs). Ideally I think MF homes would be a good place to start, but I don't think there is a market for MF homes in desirable areas in Houston. Has anyone had luck with MF homes in Houston? What areas of Houston are families renting SF homes instead of buying?
I am also curious if investors have had better luck in other cities in Texas?
Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
