Rookie Real Estate Investor in Northwest Indiana

Good morning Bigger Pockets family,

My name is Nick Mast and my partner and I are in the beginning stages of our real estate investing endeavor. We are interested in purchasing single-family properties in the Northwest Indiana corridor. Neither one of us are new to investing, simply new to the real estate investing world. This is a business venture we have discussed for many years and are finally ready to take the plunge. We realize how much our success hinges on our education and knowledge of analyzing properties and understanding of the local market. We are both born and raised in the region and are quite familiar with its different dynamics. We have a combined 25+ years in construction and the electrical industry and are not intimidated by the rehab/renovation side of things. That being said, we are looking to greatly "shorten the curve" by surrounding ourselves with other knowledgeable investors, realtors, lenders and property management teams in our area. We plan to attend local meet-ups once the meeting and gathering restrictions have been safely lifted.

We are already in the process of forming our LLC and operating agreement and have been developing our business plan on a daily basis. We see the opportunity coming in the near future for us to grow significantly while making wise business decisions. We have some great private lending opportunities in place already and are excited about what the future may hold. We understand that there will be some hiccups along the way and are prepared to learn from every interaction. Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you have any contacts you would recommend in the area it is greatly appreciated. We are not looking for any hand outs and are willing to put in the work to compliment your business as well.

Looking for references in regards to: Realtors, lenders, real estate attorneys and property managers. Thanks again!
