Introduction from New York.

Hi everyone,

I will 21 years old in September when I return for my final year of school to complete my Bachelor's. Currently I'm working a full-time internship in the investment bank of the 7th largest financial services firm in the world. I don't believe in overnight-success or get-rich-quick schemes.

I was born into a poor family. I believe I am the one to change that. My family is my motivation. I'm here in this forum to consider Real Estate investing. I have no prior experience in REI. I am here for advice and to get to know the community.

I would like some cash flow. I want to keep a day job because it is my career and my future (as of right now). Perhaps if RE Investing really takes off one day I will consider that as my career, but in the meantime I'm only considering RE Investing on the side because I can not commit 100% of my time. First priority is the career I'm pursuing now.

Are there options for a person like me in RE? I want to be able to bring extra money to my salary so that I can move my family to a decent, and safe neighborhood where they won't need to work their fingers to the bone for the next 20 years.

I'd like to try RE within the next few years (after college). Now is the time for me to learn and research.
