Dallas Ft Worth First Rental Property

Peter Weldon
Posted

For the past few years I have been payed down my condo aggressively waiting for the right time to expand. I understand the DFW area isn't getting hit as hard as others in the current environment, but I am ready to start building my portfolio. I have been doing my research, becoming handy in fixing my own place, and reading as much as I can.

I may be a well educated rookie, but I'm aware I'm a rookie.

Does anybody have advice on getting started in the area?

What are some of the area specific issues that you have ran into?

Hey Peter,

The best step is to find out exactly how much equity is in your condo. You can refi or get a heloc to put towards your next investment.

You'll want to connect with a local Realtor and lender to find out your best options

A great Realtor in the DFW area to connect with is Megan King

Best of luck to you moving forward!
