Hello! My name is Jay and I've been a BP member for close to four years now, but up until recently have been lurking on the forums and reading the blogs and articles to further my knowledge. Just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know I'm here.

I bought my first property at 21, the year I graduated college and landed a 9-5. I have since obtained one other property and I'm currently working toward a third, but have run into DTI issues being approved for another mortgage, mainly because real estate is still so expensive in the northern Virginia area. I am living well under my means and have had the good fortune to be able to save a large portion of my income, but on paper I'm still not qualified to take out another loan. In any case, that's what I'm working toward - I'm interested in buy and hold investing and would ultimately like to acquire several more rentals. Looking forward to further interaction with the BP community!
