Hello everyone,

I would like to say first of all I'm really excited to join this community of REI. I'm from from Brooklyn, New York, and I am a new investor who is on the right path to purchasing my first small multi-family rental (buy and hold). I been drawn to REI for years, however since I started to listen to BP podcast and self educating myself by reading books, and becoming a BP member I can say that I have a better perspective on my REI goals.

My interest is house hacking and rentals to start off my career. The market that I would like to build my portfolio in is New Jersey, then expand from there. Reason why I would want to invest in the New Jersey is because NYC is very expensive and I do on not have enough capital right now to invest in that particular market. I am an Iron worker, and I've been working in the construction industry for five years. Unfortunately the Covid-19 pandemic caused the industry to slow down and have mass layoffs, but it is also giving me the time to spend time with my family, and start working on my RE career.

I've been working the analysis reports, and its been confusing i'm not going to lie, but with more practice I know I can become much better at analyzing my first deal. I'm listening to the podcast, attending Brandon's webinars each week, and reading his book "Rental Property Investing". This is the best time I've spent putting my thoughts together to make my plans happen, and reach my goal of purchasing my first rental. Anyone who has any REI network meetings, or would like to chat about investment ideas feel free to tag me or message me for my contact information.

@Hud Malik, Over the past year or two, I have attended inspiring top notch meetups hosted by @Sunny Burns and @Darren Sager

These are pre-pandemic meetups of course, but Sunny and Darren are wonderful leaders in the NJ community.
