New Investor - Chicagoland Area

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the biggerpockets community. It's been years since I have been involved in REI but I am ready to get back in. I failed the first time around and quit because I was weak and fearful. Since then I have been working on increasing my self-confidence, establishing exceptional credit, eliminating my past debts and increasing my wealth by saving more of my existing income. Back when I "tried" this before I didn't have a strong enough of "why" versus my "why" today is stronger than ever. I want to leave a legacy for my family and by getting involved with REI, I can see this significantly helping me.

Also, I wanted to thank all of you for the invaluable content here - it has been a BIG booster for my confidence that I CAN DO THIS. I have learned so much since I last did this and I have already started analyzing properties (in the Chicagoland area). I am planning on getting my first deal (SFH) before the end of this year. I know I will have some challenges but I am up for it which is a big thing for me (since I struggled with this my first time).

I look forward to networking with many of you and if there is anything I can do to help you (& I can learn from you too) please let me know.

I am very excited to embark on this journey! ~ Jerry
