Hello, BP Fam!

My new member intro is long overdue, but it's one of my tasks to complete during the COVID-19 shutdown. So, here goes...I'm a military spouse and newbie investor, currently living in Jacksonville, NC. I joined BP in September 2019 and recently upgraded to Pro. I'm extremely grateful for the plethora of resources available, especially the calculators!

Curiosity in short-term rentals led me to the BP Real Estate Podcast. My interest quickly grew beyond the short-term rental world as I listened to seasoned investors' testimonies of success at BRRRR-ing, flipping, wholesaling, and more. Now, my focus is to buy and hold with the BRRRR strategy. I've been actively searching for deals in Jacksonville, Sneads Ferry, Hampstead, and Wilmington. My goal is to BRRRR at least two properties by the end of this year.

As COVID-19 has thrown society into a bit of a social crisis, I'm remaining optimistic while researching and investing in my knowledge as much as possible. So far, I've read The Ultimate Beginner's Guide; The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No (and Low) Money Down; B-R-R-R-R Strategy; and I'm currently making my way through The Book on Estimating Rehab Costs. I'm also thoroughly enjoying the new BP podcast, Real Estate Rookie, hosted by @Ashley Kehr and @Felipe Mejia. Especially, the most recent episode with @Joseph Asamoah and @Steve Rozenberg.

Hi Aubrey! Welcome to the forums and to a whole new adventure with investing. The BP community (podcasts, forums, blogs, etc) is a great place to learn, but don't forget to get out and start analyzing as many deals as you can! I'm an investor in the Eastern NC area as well, and it's a great area to be looking.
