Best place to invest and BRRR as new investor?

I live in California and am interested in getting into doing BRRR deals out of state in a market of under 100k but don't know where to start. Can anyone suggest the best markets to get started and best places to find deals? I have been thinking about some of the online auctions, but I'm not sure if they are good deals. Any advice would help and be greatly appreciated.
