Introducing myself- just starting out

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My husband and I are in our early thirties. We both have great w-2 jobs that are really demanding and have always wanted to add to our portfolio a few rental properties. We have two little kids and we are at a point where we need to take the leap into real estate in the hopes that in a few years I can take a step back from my job to be a bigger part of our kids lives. I am a CPA and actually work with a lot of large real estate funds on the tax side so we have that going for us. I would love to hear any advice on best first five steps! We would like to keep it simple and start locally in central Florida area.

Welcome! I'd say the first steps are to get out there. Interview 3 top agents in your area they can introduce you to their team and network. And go to a local REI at least once a month. Seeing and meeting other people that are doing what you want to be doing will give you the confidence to get started. And then having the right agent will give you means to actually get out there and do it.

Everything else you’ll learn by doing. I believe in just in time learning. Get started and you’ll learn what yuh need to know along the way.

Welcome again and I wish you the best of luck!
