Hey BiggerPockets Community!

I'm Bryan Calzadilla-Romero, an aspiring RE investor and currently an analyst at a market-leading construction software firm. Like many of the other recent newbies, I've been lurking on this site for some time, reading forum posts, reading articles, educating myself with books, and keeping up with all of the BP podcasts.

Anyhow, at this point, I have built up a good financial standing and am looking to kick-start my real estate investing career. The strategy that I'm interested in pursuing is multi-family house hacking. The long-term goal is to maintain minimal living expenses and increase side-income!

I am currently located in Portland, Oregon, but am doing research into out-of-state investing. I would be more than happy to discuss real estate market analysis and hear about your successes in other markets, as well as your experience with long-range investing.

I look forward to networking with you all and learning, discussing, and lending a helping hand! If you're from Portland, Oregon, I hope to meet you and get to shake hands at a local meet up.

Thanks for reading!

Welcome Bryan! House hacking is a great way to start, especially in our market. Out of state can have better cash flow and lower entry costs, but less appreciation and more turnover/management issues.

I would start with finding a lender and see what you can get approved for.

Good luck
