Rental laws in different states

Brittnay Hogan
Posted

Hola BPers, my name is Brittnay and I’m a newbie. I’m looking for long term buy and hold but having trouble finding information on rental laws for the states in looking into. I live in the New York City area and will definitely not be investing here. The biggest law I need to look into is the eviction process for certain states, New Yorkers can go years without paying rent and I’m definitely not trying to deal with that. Any info is great! Thanks in advance

@Brittnay Hogan

Rule of thumb red states are more landlord and business friendly blue states are not.

Nolo has a good book that breaks down the laws by states..
