Been a lurker for a while on this forum but decided to share and learn from the gurus here.

My name is David and I from Northern Cal/Central valley area. I flip/rehab and own a few rentals in the Tracy/Modesto/Manteca area. Got started in flipping during the easy money days of 2004-2006 by signing up for new homes and selling them after construction-typical 4-6 months time frame. Started again in 2009 with bank owned homes and moved gradually into short sales. With severe competition in the REO market I now exclusively acquire properties via short sales to flip or to hold for rentals

RE is a part time gig for me. I am fully employed as an Electrical Engineer with a fortune 500 firm in Silicon Valley and commute to work 1-2 days a week which gives me the flexibility to practice my passion.

Looking forward to contribute and learn from this forum.
