New investor from New Jersey
Hi everyone!
My name is David. I am a wood flooring contractor in New Jersey. I have been aggressively saving for the past couple of years and I feel I am ready to start exploring real estate investing.
So far I have read "The book on rental property investing" and "The book on flipping houses". I enjoy reading so I've read a ton of business books and the next one I will be starting is "rich dad poor dad" after hearing it recommended over and over on the podcast.
My goal is to build wealth so my main focus will be on acquiring rental properties. I do also hope to flip a house eventually as I do enjoy being in the construction industry.
I hope to buy my first rental property in the next few months and I have an aggressive goal to own 2 rental properties by the end of the year. I am looking at the jersey market but due to taxes I think I'll mostlikely end up focusing in Pennsylvania.
I look forward to learning from all of you and hopefully eventually bring some value to you all.
