Introduction - Central VA Investor

Hello fellow BiggerPockets members!

First and foremost, I’d like to thank everyone in the community for sharing so much knowledge. As a recent college engineering grad who formerly had only been exposed to the typical American life (piling on as much debt as possible in hopes of keeping up with the Joneses), you guys have really got the gears turning in my head and have opened a new way of thinking for me.

After recently obtaining a good paying job, I almost made the mistake of buying a new truck and taking on some of the other bad debt that comes with most college grads; instead, I have chosen to put my eggs in the real estate basket. The idea of passive income through rental properties is very intriguing to me, and this is most definitely the route i would like to steer towards in the near future.

I'm looking to start with single/multifamily homes in the Central VA area (yes I know this may prove to be challenging). This area makes sense to me as I see opportunity and my dad (who I am very, very close with) is a local contractor/jack of all trades.

Honestly this post is just to throw myself out there and establish where I stand for now, as well show some gratitude towards the folks that have given me something to look forward to and work towards in life.

If anybody in the local area is willing to “chew the fat” I am eager to speak with like minded individuals.

Look forward to collaborating with some of you in the near future!
