New to real estate and looking for help!

Trevor Grogitsky
Posted

I am a 21-year old who has made a living online since the age of 13. I recently became fascinated with real estate whilst talking with my grandparents over thanksgiving dinner. We together are looking to start investing in real estate. I will be honest when I say I know very little and need all the help I can get. I have been doing my best to connect with other real estate investors through my father who owns a construction company. I have found some nice people but they don't seem to want to share much of anything that is of any use. I was hoping to find some people on here to network with while I try to grow my relationship with these others.

I need direction/suggestions to research what I should do first. I have thought a lot about four options, one, buying land and building a house, I would get a prefab home and try to stay under 200k for an all-in budget. Two, buying a house close to the local campus Appalachian State and renting out to students while living at home or in one of the rooms. Three, buying a multi-family property with multiple houses already built and fix them up and rent them out again to college students or families. Four, Buying a house wit ha a large lot of land, renting out the house while building another house or two.

As you can see I am all over the place and I hate that, I know that I do not know what I am doing because I don't have one solidified idea/plan of action. I need help solidifying a plan, and hopefully networking with some other individuals along that journey.
