Getting started in Oakland Maine

Matt Caldwell
Posted

Greetings Everyone from Oakland, Maine.

I'm quite new to the real estate investing field, having just closed on my first single family residence.   My wife and I both work in healthcare and enjoy the work very much.  My goal with real estate investing isn't to replace my current career, but rather to put some idle capital to work, and hopefully develop some passive income streams.  I'd like to focus on "buy and hold" single family and smaller multifamily properties in the local area initially.

I'm very appreciative of the knowledge I've gained through BP over the past 6 months, and am looking forward to absorbing what I can from the forums as well.

Best, Matt
