New Member from Canada - Intro and Goals!

Hello everyone. I live in Ottawa, Ontario. I'm in construction and mainly focus on interior renos and finishings. In the education phase, i want to find a potential duplex conversion property somewhere to BRRRR and get the ball rolling. I hope to find a JV partner to get started. I know i have to define my goals beyond how much cashflow i'm aiming at, especially regarding which strategy to use. I'm still facing that challenge with no experience under my belt. I am inclined to go the multifamily investment route too and a JV would be awesome. At any rate, hoping to get started as soon as possible, and learning as much as i can. I'm interested in investing in the US as well. I look forward to connecting with all the great people involved in real estate here and to learn how to raise capital for investment projects.
