New Investor in Birmingham AL. Let's connect!
Whats up BiggerPockets! I am a wannabe (first-time) investor located in Birmingham Al. I grew up here and am familiar with the area but I am brand new to real estate. I have been gobbling up information from the podcast and forums for 6 months, but I am hoping to connect with some people in the area that can help me learn the market better. My wife and I are looking for a multi-family (duplex or triplex) property close to UAB or maybe a SFH that we can do some light renovation to and rezone for MFH. We are looking anywhere from Crestwood to Glen Iris. Ultimately we are looking to house hack and live in one of the units for a few years before moving out and renting all units. Thanks everyone!

Cory, welcome to the site! I'm a newer Birmingham investor, but I live out of state. I would love to connect with you and chat through your strategy. I invest mostly in the outer suburbs of Birmingham, but when I visit I stay in the Crestwood area. If I lived in town, I would consider living in those areas, it's got a really cool vibe.
