New to Real Estate! Looking for advice from flippers and Landlord

Hello everyone! I'm brand new to Real Estate, and I'm looking into flipping, and rentals. Preferably in Arkansas to start. I am open to any and all advice. I haven't began looking for any deals yet, as I am still putting together my plan. I do currently work a full time job as an Electrician's Apprentice, and I am also in the Army Reserves, so I'm pretty busy. I have a beautiful wife and 4 amazing children, so obviously I'm not going to go straight into full time Real Estate just yet (gotta pay them bills haha). I'm hoping to start doing deals in Northwest Arkansas, but I am willing to go further away if the deal is right. Anyway, that's a little about me. I hope to hear from you awesome people soon!
