Nervous Newbie in Pasco/Hillsborough Area, Florida
Hey everyone!
I have been 'flirting' with real estate investing for just under a year now, but I've never even own my own home, so it's been a little daunting. I've listened to about 100x Bigger Pockets podcasts, gone to a Fortune Builders 3 day seminar, and have several good friends that are Real Estate agents all giving me slightly different info. I would like to shake this 'paralysis by analysis' and make 2020 the year of new beginnings! I just wasn't sure how I should start. Would you recommend getting started with the tools on here? Or should I pursue some type of mentorship? Also, what have others experience in the Pasco/Hillsborough been like? Is this a good market to get started in, or should I look elsewhere?
Thank you in advance,
A Nervous (& Grateful for your Help) Newbie

You really have to meet some local professionals. Print up some cards, go to REIA meets, get good at walking up to people and saying, "Hi, I'm Deborah, and I'm making a start in real estate. Can you tell me a little about what you do." Then listen, get contact info. You might try to go for coffee or lunch with people who seem willing to talk to you. Long-time investors are often surprisingly willing to share what they know. Partly because they are aware that someday, you might have something to offer them in return.
