Hello,

I am new to investing in real estate. I want to invest in 2 or 3 bdrm houses in the Topeka KS area. I'm just learning about investing and want to learn from other people who are doing it successfully.

It's also the capital of the state and has lots of diverse/goverment jobs there. I am also interested in Kansas City and Detroit. But I'm brand new and might find out that none of those markets are good.

Hey Cat welcome to the site. Since you're looking at KC I figured I'd drop you a link to The Ultimate Guide to Grading Kansas City Missouri Neighborhoods. It should help you navigate risk levels and expectations down there.
