A lot of good real estate investing info, but where do I start?

Hi everybody! I’m new to the community and to real estate investing. I’ve been collecting info here and there for a year but despite all the good info I’m still stuck and I’m not sure how to take the first step.

Briefly, in the past year I’ve been working on my own house, I totally renovated the basement adding a full bathroom as well as made a bunch of other improvement in the backyard and rest of the house. I did everything by myself . I’ve been told I’m pretty talented doing this and I realized that I really enjoy this. I’ve been struggling in the last couple of years with my 9-5 job and I’m really determined to make a

Big change in this 2020.

After researching the best way to change my life in order, as first step, of being able to “guarantee” myself and my family the same earnings we have right now but from a different source that would give me/us more freedom i came up with the fact that possibly investing in real estate would do it.

I was wondering if you guys were in my same situation before you succeed with this business and what steps you took in order to get started.

I was also wondering if there is anybody willing to mentor 1/1 in the New Jersey area, since I firmly believe that everybody need a good mentor to get started and walk together to really learn how the business work and to succeed .
