New Investor- Looking for advise on Education

Posted

Hello, BiggerPockets community.

I am a new investor who is primarily currently interested in syndication/ passive income deals. I love my job and currently do not want to leave it- maybe in the future. I have done one syndication deal ( I am an accreditor investor) a few months ago but I felt I have done the deal mostly because I loved the people who manage it, the goal they are trying to do, the deal felt really close to my heart-  not because of the cold numbers and mathematical reasoning.

Saying this,  I start educating myself more about the syndication world - read a couple of books that helped a lot and listen to some podcasters last two months. I would like to invest more in the future but this time would like to base my decisions on actual numbering and due diligence, recommendations.

I would really appreciate any help if someone can help to point me in the right direction on how to pick wisely an investment opportunity:  books to read, online courses, mentorships on how to do due diligence, what to look for, red flags, gotchas and etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Keep looking at deals.  I am planning on starting a podcast on this subject for investors just like you soon.

There is a book here that is a good start:
What Every Real Estate Investor Needs to Know About Cash Flow... And 36 Other Key Financial Measures, Updated Edition https://www.amazon.com/dp/1259...
