I just discovered this site and I am impressed by the variety of topics discussed. Personally - I have a small construction management firm that partners with private real estate investors on development deals around the country - mostly multi-family and private student housing, though I have also managed industrial and commercial. In addition to running my business, I started an MBA program last month, which I believe will help me immensly as my business continues to grow.

I find that for many RE investors, especially small, private ones, the process of finding architects and builders for their projects is often very trying and rarely leads to lasting relationships. My business is entirely relationship based, and I have become a "dream-come-true" in the eyes of the investors and lending institutions whose project I manage, due to my committment to protecting their interests, and my track record for meeting schedule and budget objectives.

Like many others on this site, I am looking for new opportunities. Specifically, I am interested in working with private investors who prefer to leave the design and construction to the experts, so they can focus on what they do best.

My ultimate goal is to get involved in beach-front resort developments.
