Hello everybody,

My name is Gilbert Noriega and I live in San Antonio, Texas with my wife Vanessa. We have recently wedded and are looking for a new place here in our hometown to create a family. I was scanning the internet for tips on buying a house and found this site along with the idea of house hacking. I was so blown away that I signed up and started reading and listening to the books. I want our first house to be a house hack so we can knock out one of our biggest expenses. Hopefully one day I could own a series of properties to create enough passive income so I would be able to stay home with the wife and kids.

I don't have any experience owning property or knowing the market but I am handy with tools and renovations. My dad is the director of the construction and plumbing department at a local college with 30+ years experience in the field so he has the tools and knowledge that he has passed onto me. We have renovated his houses and even though it was hard work, I loved the feeling of looking at our craft after it was finished.

My wife and I only have a couple thousand saved up but will be looking to jump into the market soon. We have gotten our finances in order and developed a plan to buy our first house so. I can't wait to meet everyone as we embark on the journey for financial freedom together!
