Newbie investor in Columbus, Ohio

I am a little over due to posting this! My name is Chris Utter. My wife, two huskies, and baby due in April live in Columbus, OH. About 5 years ago we bought our first house, it was a foreclosed home. This house has become our "learning" house. This house was a mess when we bought it but still in livable condition. We have remodeled every room in the house top to bottom expect for 2, which will be coming in 2020. One of the biggest lessons we have learned is that we can do all of this but we don't want to do it ourselves to meet the much tighter timeline that would come in an investment house. 

We are still in the education phase of investing but are heavily leaning towards rental properties. This is what brought us here. Even though we haven't posted in the 2 months we have been a pro member, we have been learning, and using the tools. We just started listening to the podcasts and it has convinced us to burst the on posting. We know there is a lot more to learn and I hope to learn it here.

If anyone just wants to talk real estate, we'll talk and absorb all info. :) We have joined 2 real estate investing groups here in Columbus. We will continue to learn through here of course but if you have suggestions where we can get more education, we are here to listen and absorb as much as we can. 

Our goal for 2020 is to own 1 rental property. Wish us luck :)
