Newbie from Middle TN (columbia, chapel hill, Lewisburg)

Hey I'm Derek. Been lurking and listening to BP podcasts for quite awhile now while I save up. Hoping 2020 is the year I buy my first rental, but I've been around real estate investing most of my life starting with helping my dad flipping houses growing up. Ideally I'd like to BRRRR things, but I'm also open to getting places that don't need tons of work if they cash flow already.

Curious any thoughts on going a little further out from Nashville to get into a price range I’m more comfortable starting out at, as well as things that are more likely to cash flow well from the beginning. I live in Eagleville but I’m currently looking at some houses and/or duplexes in Lewisburg. I’ve only spent a little bit of time down there so far so just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the area.
