Newbie investor with unique situation in Saint Louis/Dallas

Hey Bigger Pockets community! Stepping outside of my comfort zone here but thought hey why not! I am a newbie investor interested in the tricky but potentially rewarding Saint Louis market.

I too am in a tricky situation myself. I am currently in Europe playing professional basketball so I am only in Saint Louis in the summers. No matter how many podcast listened to or books read I don't see a clear way to approach getting started! I don't have the typical job so this complicates many things.

I'm also originally from the Dallas area and open to investing in that market as well. I am looking forward to networking and learning as much as I can from this community! Any advice and personal experience is greatly appreciated!

@Cory Remekun... what's your goal with investing? Are you looking for cash flow? If so, St. Louis probably still has more opportunity than Dallas, from my understanding of the markets. I live and invest in St. Louis (and use @Peter MacKercher for buying and renovating). It does feel hot here, but deals can be found!

I'm not an agent or anything, but if you ever want to connect about the St. Louis market, feel free to reach out. I also coordinate a free monthly meet up for investors here that you'd be welcome to join when you're here over the summer.

Where in Europe are you?
