Flip and sell or Flip and hold for beginners

Kayla Walkin
Posted

Hello all!

I would like to know how to begin flipping houses. Not sure if I should start by doing an owner occupied flip or get a cheap property to flip as an investor. I am a stay at home mom with 3 children under 6. I have no skills or knowledge but my husband wants to start a family business and create passive income. All opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Flipping is not passive income, it is a lot of work, an owner occupied flip is going to be exponentially harder with 3 kids in toe, and even normal flips are hard.  If you don't know what you're doing you aren't ready to do either yet, learn what various rehab items cost, learn how to comp a property, learn what financing options are available to you, then come back and decide which path you want to take.
