GC & REI owner Seeking Networking in NorCal
Hello, Looking to network with fellow Real Estate Investors and Contractors.
A little about myself. I have been in the construction trade for 36 years where I have done the work, provided mentorship, leadership, and project management throughout the years and ownership for the last 15 years (which generally can be all under one roof most of the time). I have done a lot of TI's (Tenant Improvements) for commercial clients including some rental flips for both sectors with solid retail margins. My son and I have started out with a Real Estate Investing business this year to go along with the contracting business. My youngest son (18) is nearing his completion with obtaining his CALDRE sales license and has multiple opportunities with several brokers in the Bay Area to complete the requirements to be official. Right now I'm doing a $20M high school addition while he's doing sales for Versace all while were trying to branch out in the REI sector. We feel like to get started is in wholesaling but we really like the multi-housing and commercial to create the passive income as most of my big contracting profits have come from the commercial development side. We have been going to meet ups around the areas and have been attending various seminars to learn everything we can. I listen to podcasts including BP, Cardone Zone, Gary Vee, and read as much books as possible.
My wife would like to buy our first home and looking for a knowledgable Real Estate agent familiar with public service individuals (She's a Teacher) and programs for us to take advantage of. We know of a few agents in the area, but none that have really given us the pitch that we feel knows what they can do for us to do business with. Our credit is good and most of our funds are tied up into the business' operating expenses and marketing but do have a little bit to help out, but would not meet the standard 20%.
Thank you for reading my post and hope to connect with many.
Happy Holidays!
