New Investor From Oregon
Hello all,
I am a 25-year-old investor out of the small town of Lebanon, Oregon. I am an IT professional currently employed at a large tech company as a System Administrator. I have purchased two properties. The first property was a long term flip to avoid capital gains taxes and I am currently living in the second property while renovating it. I have been listening to the BiggerPockets podcast for a few months now but haven't taken any real action in being a member of the BiggerPockets community besides making a profile. That is until last Friday. Like I do every morning before my commute I randomly chose a Bigger Pockets podcast episode to listen to. This time I scrolled down to show 307. BiggerPockets Podcast show 307 is about setting goals and how to achieve them. This episode spoke to my soul. I have these huge goals but most of the time I don't know where to start so I don't do anything. The podcast taught me that the key is to break down these large goals into to easily achievable smaller goals. This post is my first easily achievable goal! My overall goal is to be financially free by age 30, making at least $2000 per month. I plan on doing this by investing in small multi-family rentals using the BRRRR method. I would also like to start investing remotely to expedite my goal. At $100 a door, I would have to own 20 units. Wish me luck!
