Trying to transition into real estate project management

Hello all,

I am new to the BP community and love all the great advise that is floating around. I feel kind of silly asking on here but I am looking for some advise. I am currently a project manager over a multi-million dollar telecommunications company in the Austin TX area and am extremely interested in transitioning into project managing in real estate in either Austin or relocating to DFW. I would appreciate any advise anyone could give in making this transition as traditional methods of applying to job postings havent seemed to yield much fruit. Thank you all in advance.

@Jim Goebel

This is something I have actually been considering. However was hoping that I could work as a project manager for someone to learn the trade first rather than just jumping in.
