New Philadelphia Investor looking to absorb knowledge!

Colin Ely
Posted

Hello BP friends! I'm a 29 year old looking to buy a first home (3 or 4 br single family to house-hack until I can transition to BRRRing). I've been working in a property management company (more on the facility side) for a large commercial real estate group. I spend a good chunk of time at work (when possible) listening to the BPPodcast, and am excited to get moving on my first deal. I want to be cautious enough to ensure I'm making a smart move for my first deal, but do see the value in jumping and stepping out of my comfort zone.

On another note, I'm hoping to find some opportunities solo-managing properties and tenants within Philly so I can gain a thorough understanding of that side of investing.

I'd love to meet and network with people in the greater Philadelphia/Main Line areas who are already in (or getting into) investing, property management, buy & hold, lending, rehabbing, general contracting, and flipping.

About myself: I do photography and art as small side incomes. I was a Division 1 wrestler turned (after two replaced ACLs) cyclist and a member of the Philadelphia Art Museum, so I'm looking to buy in that area!

Can't wait to get to know some of you!

Cheers,
Colin

PS - I recently decided to start listening to the BPPodcast in chronological order, but I can't seem to find BPP: 021 on the site. Anyone know where it is?
