Hello, I'm Alex from San Antonio, TX. I've been reading BiggerPockets causally over the years and appreciate all the resources and helpful people here- what a fantastic site. I've started my real estate journey recently and am still in the beginning stages. I bought my first property in July 2018 and rehabbed it. After living in it for one year I purchased and moved into another house in September 2019- both houses in San Antonio. A PM listed the first house for rent on the MLS three weeks ago though no applications yet.

My goal is to build cash flow by purchasing more buy and hold rentals, although I’m open to any strategy. The biggest challenge now seems to be financing. Even if my first house is rented and I have 20% to put down on an investment property, it seems like getting traditional financing will be difficult. It would be nice to accelerate the process a bit, get a little creative, partner up, and buy multiple houses in one year- deals that many folks here on BP speak of.

Feel free to post back or share what you would do if you were in my shoes. Otherwise, I would love to connect with fellow real estate enthusiasts!

Alex
