Hi All!

First post here. I am a recent joiner to the BP forum, however I have been looking to get into real estate investing for some time now. So, stumbling upon BP the podcasts has spurred me to finally take some action.

I am located on Long Island, NY, home of expensive real estate & insanely high taxes!

I have seen some other threads of investors located on LI, but haven't seen any type of meetups mentioned. I would love to meet up with some like-minded people to get a better understanding of their investment journey and how to make it work in such a prohibitively expensive area.

As for the types of investments I'm looking for, my focus has been mostly on duplexes so far, as the numbers I'm running don't seem to work for single-family homes in Nassau county that are not in seedy areas. But I am not opposed to single-family homes if the numbers make sense

Looking forward to connecting & learning from experienced investors!

Dan
