Hey BP Community!

Nice to meet everyone! My name is Mikey and I was introduced to Bigger Pockets when I stumbled upon their podcast. I listened to a Dave Ramsey episode and found BP on my recommendation list. I listen to the BP podcast on my morning commutes and ended up reading a few of BP's books.

Right now I work as a full time registered nurse in the SF Bay Area. My girlfriend and I recently purchased our first primary residence (single family) in San Jose, near downtown. I was able to convince her to house hack our first home and we are now in the process of making it happen.

As a noobie, I am trying to figure out which path to take in real estate investing. I am interested in buy and hold rentals but I don't I will find cash flowing deals in my current market, SF Bay Area. So now I am exploring out of state investing. I am looking thru the forums/network events to find anything about the topic. I think I found a meet up next weekend in the South Bay!

My goals:

- be active within the BP community and meet new people

- meet local investors with similar interests in real estate

- get my first buy and hold deal (out of state) by the beginning of next year

Nice to meet everyone again!
