New Learning Investor from Frisco, TX

Posted

Hi BP community...I just joined and am excited and very nervous about learning real estate investing. I live in the Frisco, TX area and have been reading a lot trying to learn as much as I can. I am interested in buying and holding single family rentals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area while working full-time. I greatly appreciate any advice or tips on investing.

Thanks in advance,

Mike I.

@Mike Ingles - Don't be too nervous!  But, it can be healthy to be a little nervous - nobody wants to lose money!  Just use common sense, stay connected with others who are working the business, don't be shy to ask any question at all (especially if you research it and it still is confusing).  We have found that networking and sharing (and being the recipient as well!) has really helped us succeed and grow our wealth through a combination of 'flipping' (wholesale and retail) plus the 'buy and hold' strategy.

If you are so inclined, check out our group in Ft Worth (Hurst. Tx specifically) - it might be worth the occasional drive, plus we have online resources and an online discussion forum as well.

In case it is not in my signature - our group is found at dfwreiclub.com
