Newbie from Fort Smith, Arkansas

Hey guys, I ended up here after reading Brandon's real estate investing book and listening to the BP podcast. I'm an Anesthesiologist with a wife and three kids. I'm interested in real estate because I hate sending money off to an investor and being at the mercy of the stock market. I'd like to eventually replace half, if not all, of my income in 15-20 years with buy and hold investing, preferably in the market that I live in or nearby. I'm still in the information gathering phase but I will likely buy my first property in the next 6 months. 

I'm really glad to have found this resource of information and potential contacts to help me achieve my goal.
